VENUE
Institute of Physics, Sachivalaya Marg, Bhubaneswar-751005, Orissa, India
Institute of Physics will host ninth Workshop on High Energy Physics Phenomenology (WHEPP9) from 03 January – 14 January, 2006. Workshop on High Energy Physics Phenomenology (WHEPP) started in 1989. First WHEPP was organized by TIFR in Mumbai. Since then seven more workshops have been organized in the series. Last workshop took place at IIT, Mumbai.
WHEPP is an international conference with a particular emphasis on working group activities. One particular aspect of a WHEPP is interaction involving the theorists and the experimentalists. WHEPP also covers interdisciplinary topics such as astroparticle physics and quark-gluon plasma. In this WHEPP, during the first week, there will be review talks and talks on the topics of current interests in HEP phenomenology. At the same time the working group activities will start. During the second week, talks on the topics of current interests will continue. However, the emphasis will shift to working group activities. These activities would involve talks, intensive interaction and collaborative works. Working group coordinators will lead these activities. In the past, such activities have led to numerous fruitful collaborations. On the last day, one of the co-ordinators from each working group will present a summary of the activities. The talks as well as the group summaries will be published in the proceedings.
