Odisha has been hit by severe cyclone "Fani" resulting in damages to daily work and life. SSVP-2019    15th May - 15th July, 2019

Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar an Autonomous research institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, offers an opportunity to bright students to work in exciting research areas in Theoretical and Experimental Physics during summer every year under the Summer Students' Visiting Programme (SSVP).

For this year, applications are invited for the SSVP-2019 to be held from 15th May - 15th July, 2019. In this program, the selected participants will work on a specific project in association with faculty members of the institute. At the end of the program, each student presents a short seminar and submits a report on the project carried out. Participants are also encouraged to participate in other academic events of the Institute.

Eligibility

  • Preferably those completing their MSc./Int. M. Sc degrees in year 2020. i.e., those who, by summer of 2019, are completing
    1. 1st year of 2-year M.Sc. OR
    2. 4th year of Integrated M.Sc.
  • The program will be conducted from 15th May - 15th July, 2019.
  • Deadline for online application: 14th April, 2019.
  • List of selected students will be announced on 22nd April, 2019.
  • Participants will be provided free accommodation on campus.
  • Participants must attend the entire duration of the program.
